Copper is a soft, highly ductile metal, prized for its excellent thermal and electrical conductivity and its warm, reddish-gold colour when new. Left unfinished, it weathers over time to a distinctive green-blue verdigris patina, which is why it's long been a favourite for roofing, cladding and decorative architectural details.

It's easily worked - cut, formed, soldered and joined - which makes it well suited to bespoke sheet metalwork and detailing alongside other metals such as stainless steel and brass.

We work copper sheet to order at our Newhaven workshop, left bright, patinated, or allowed to weather naturally depending on the piece.
